The problem
When a resident's electricity account lapses or is cancelled, the meter reverts to the property and the charge lands on your master bill. Separately, vacant units run up usage nobody is watching. Most property managers never catch either one, because it's buried in a bill with dozens of line items.
What we do
You send a current rent roll and a recent electricity bill. We reconcile every meter against your occupancy and send back a one-page summary: which occupied units are billed to the property when the resident should be paying, and which vacant units are using abnormal power. We also flag any billing errors your provider made on the account. Plain language, with the dollars.
How it works
- Send us a current rent roll and a recent electricity bill.
- We match every meter on the account to your occupancy and check it.
- You get a one-page summary of what we found and what to do about it.
What it costs
The first audit is free. Ongoing monthly audits are $3 per unit. Free for properties enrolled in PowerCord tenant electricity.
Your data
For a free audit we don't store resident names or personal information. We read your rent roll only to match units to meters, then discard the rest.
