Mobile opt-in data and consent is never shared with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

We share your information only in the following circumstances:

Service Providers

We share information with vendors and service providers who support our operations, including retail electric providers (REPs), technology platforms, and payment processors. These parties are authorized to use your information only as necessary to provide services to us.

Utilities and REPs

To enroll you in electricity service, we share necessary information with your assigned retail electric provider. This includes your name, address, contact information, and lease dates required to initiate and manage your contract.

Property Managers

We may share enrollment status information with your property management company to facilitate lease-synchronized service delivery. We do not share billing or payment information with property managers.

Legal Requirements

We may disclose your information when required by law, court order, regulatory requirement, or to protect the rights and safety of PowerCord, its customers, or the public. As a Texas-regulated electricity broker, we are subject to disclosure requirements from the Public Utility Commission of Texas (PUCT).

Business Transfers

In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or a portion of our assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you via email or prominent notice on our website before your information is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

PowerCord Energy operates under oversight of the Public Utility Commission of Texas (PUCT) as a registered electricity broker (Registration No. BR240257). Our enrollment practices comply with PUCT Substantive Rules, including rules governing customer protections, broker conduct, and disclosure requirements.

PowerCord Energy is not a transmission or distribution utility and does not own or operate electricity infrastructure. We act as a broker facilitating enrollment agreements between customers and licensed retail electric providers.
